Please note:
At the request of authorities, from 1st June 2016, educational documents level 5 or higher will need to be supported by the following documents:
- Degree/Diploma
- Transcript
- Letter of Attendance, with the following criteria:
The mode of study: whether full-time or part-time
The type of study: whether distance learning (E-Learning) or Face to Face learning (on campus learning)
Location of study
Location of examinations
The actual dates of study (start and end date)
All 3 documents mentioned above have to be attested by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) prior to submitting it for legalisation at the Embassy of the State of Qatar.
Any certificate obtained via distance learning (Online) will NOT be accepted.
For any certificate, where the place of study and examination is outside the UK, will NOT be accepted for legalisation.

Will my Attested Document expire?
How do I know if a document has been certified?
- A Solicitor or Notary Public in the UK
- An official of the British Council
- Sign the document in the UK
- State the action taken eg witnessed, certified a copy, confirmed as original
- Use their personal signature, not a company signature
- Include the date of certification
- Include their name and company address

UK Crown Dependencies (CD) includes Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey
UK Overseas territories (OT) includes Anguilla, Bermuda​, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands (BVI), Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, St Helena and Dependencies, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands and Turks and Caicos Islands.
If your document is from one of the UK Overseas territories mentioned above, your document will need to be verified by a Notary Public, which will incur an additional fee. The Hague Convention extends to Crown Dependencies (CD) and Overseas Territories (OT). Each CD or OT can issue their own apostilles.
Same day service* - In order to proceed with the express service for the same day, documents must be at our office by 10:00. If documents are brought to us at a later time, you may have to wait until the following day to complete the full legalisation process.
